Euro 2012 Is Here!
It’s not long to go now until Poland take on Greece at the National Stadium in Warsaw, kicking off this summer’s much-anticipated European Championships in Poland and Ukraine.
Most certainly it makes a refreshing change in many respects to see the tournament moved east, away from the safe options of the richer, more prestigious footballing powerhouses of Western Europe. The stadia to be used in both countries are still absolutely fantastic – as you will see if you watch the game at Poland’s National Stadium this afternoon – and the passion of the local fans will definitely be evident even if spectacular quality from the host’s teams isn’t necessarily a given.
Poland especially is a nation that has made tremendous progress in recent years, so it’ll be great to see the country shine under such a major international spotlight.
